New Purdue recruit could lure Zeller

August, 10, 2007
Purdue landed another talented recruit when talented Class of 2008 PG Lewis Jackson (Decatur, Ill.) gave an oral commitment this week.

Though standing just 5-foot-9, Jackson has a tremendous amount of heart and competitive zeal, which overcomes his small stature. He plays the game with reckless abandon, using his great quickness to impact the game on the offensive and defensive ends of the court.

In addition to explosive quickness, Jackson handles the ball very well, which makes him a very effective penetrator. He plays good on-ball pressure defense. Jackson has excellent vision and passing skills, spotting open teammates for baskets. He has to continue to improve his shooting and decision-making as he progresses to the next level.
