Donovon Jack is one to watch

Each summer there are always a handful of players who see their recruiting stock jump through the roof. They come into the period labeled as low- to mid-major prospects and by the time July comes to an end walk away with a steady dose of high-major suitors.

This time of year, it becomes the job of scouts and evaluators to try and predict which players could make such a rise. Last weekend I got a glimpse of a player who is a good candidate in 6-foot-9 big man Donovon Jack from Reading Central High School in Pennsylvania.

Jack currently lists offers from Duquesne, Vermont, Boston University, Lafayette, Delaware, George Mason, and the previous staff at George Washington, but he has also begun to ping the high-major radar in recent weeks with DePaul, Seton Hall and Boston College all having shown some interest.
