Just imagine if college kept guys for four years

I think that basketball is the best game ever invented, and that college basketball is the very best game of all. To me, no other game can compare for star power on the court and the sidelines, team play, passion, excitement and the fair determination of a champion. As great as the game is today, it is not as great as it used to be, and nowhere near as great as it could or should be. The reason is simple.

The early entry of so many of the game's best players has robbed college basketball of its mature talent. In the "good ol' days," we could watch a talented freshman class mature into seniors, and into an experienced machine out on the court. Tim Duncan didn't put up significantly bigger numbers from his sophomore to his senior years, but the way he put them up was magnificent and a joy to watch for anyone who truly loves and appreciates the game.
