Dennis Scott the greatest 3-point shooter ever

The introduction of the 3-point shot in 1986 was a sea change in college basketball. This profound transformation put more of an emphasis on the perimeter, and led to some unexpected changes and results that basketball people are still trying to figure out. I was not a fan of the short 3-point line, and I still think it is too short and has tipped the entire game out of balance, just as football would be unbalanced if a field goal were worth five points.

The list of great shooters since 1986 is a long one, but it is unbalanced because it leaves out the great shooters who came before the line was introduced. There is a symmetry in that.
