MOSCOW, Idaho -- Trevon Allen scored six of his game-high 23 points in overtime as Idaho outlasted CSU Bakersfield, 76-70 on Saturday night.
The Vandals' six-point lead in overtime was the biggest either team enjoyed.
Justin McCall put the Roadrunners in front, 63-62 with :20 remaining in regulation, but Allen drew a foul and stepped to the line for two free-throw attempts, missed the first and tied the game with the second.
Czar Perry gave CSU Bakersfield its only lead of the extra period with two free throws, but Allen put Idaho back in front for good with a jumper and added to it with a fast-break layup off an over-the-shoulder pass from Keyshaad Dixon.
Babacar Thiombane found open space in the lane and converted at the basket to take a four-point lead, 70-66 with 2:00 left. Allen hit two of four free throws and Thiombane added two more to seal the victory.
