Each week during the college basketball season, ESPN Insiders Jay Bilas and Jeff Goodman will weigh in on the biggest questions in the sport.

Can Arizona win the national title?

Jay Bilas: Arizona is legit, and can lay claim to being the best in the country. Teams and players are going to get better over the next two months, and some good teams will regress and fall aside. But Arizona has the pieces to be No. 1, now and in March. With an NBA-sized front line and a special athlete in freshman Aaron Gordon, the only issue of concern entering the season was perimeter shooting and guard play.

With T.J. McConnell, the transfer from Duquesne, at the point, Sean Miller has a true floor leader and setup guy who can run a team and bark commands that will be followed. McConnell is a respected player, and he has weapons to exploit. Nick Johnson is one of the best and most explosive scoring guards in the country, and he can shoot it, attack the rim and get to the free throw line. Gabe York is a solid deep threat to stretch a defense and play off of Arizona's talented big men, and Gordon and fellow freshman Rondae Hollis-Jefferson form a super-athletic tandem that can be moved all over the floor and make uplifting, momentum plays on both ends.
