With Saturday's highly anticipated matchup between the North Carolina Tar Heels and Syracuse Orange approaching (noon ET, ESPN), we asked Jay Bilas and Seth Greenberg to break it all down. They each provided a scouting report on the biggest keys each team, with Bilas taking the role of Roy Williams and Greenberg the role of Jim Boeheim.
How North Carolina can beat Syracuse
1. No second shots from Syracuse
Bilas: Basketball is a game of "easy baskets." North Carolina wants to get easy baskets and limit Syracuse's easy baskets. Syracuse can do this by pounding the offensive glass and getting a high percentage of second shots. It's in the top 15 in the nation in offensive rebound percentage, collecting almost 40 percent of its misses. To beat the Orange, North Carolina has to limit Syracuse to just one challenged shot.
