Editor's note: For the next several weeks, the college basketball experts of ESPN Insider will examine the key questions facing some of the nation's top conferences as we prepare for the 2011-12 season. Today, Fran Fraschilla takes a look at the Colonial Athletic Association.

1. Will the Virginia Commonwealth Rams maintain their success?

Possibly, but it won't be easy because the Rams lost four senior Final Four starters to graduation. That's a problem, especially in a very deep and balanced CAA. The good news is that coach Shaka Smart and conference player of the year candidate (and NBA prospect) Bradford Burgess return. Burgess, a 6-foot-6 senior, went wild in the NCAA tournament, dropping 23 against the Purdue Boilermakers and 26 on the Florida State Seminoles in the Southwest Region.
