Stony Brook Seawolves

2012-13: 25-8 (14-2)
In-conference offense: 1.07 points per possession (1st)
In-conference defense: 0.86 points allowed per possession (1st)

Losing in the America East tournament semifinals in 2013 spoiled the school's best season in Division I history. Conference Player of the Year Tommy Brenton graduated, but the Seawolves return four starters from last season's run. Head coach Steve Pikiell wants more consistent production from his senior guards, Anthony Jackson and Dave Coley, to supplement Brenton's absence of filling the stat sheet with 8.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. Coley and Jackson both have the ability to torch teams with their mix of mid-range and 3-point jumpers. They combined for 40 points in their first postseason victory -- an NIT win over UMass.
