Howard wants to unite Wolverines, Fab Five

New Michigan coach Juwan Howard, who helped lead the Wolverines to the national title game in 1992 and 1993, hopes to mend ties between his famed Fab Five teammates and the program.

Juwan Howard, a member of the Fab Five Michigan teams that had their Final Four wins expunged due to NCAA violations, said he and his new bosses will revisit hanging those banners at the Crisler Center at some point in the future.

Juwan Howard is back at Michigan, this time as the Wolverines' new head coach. Assistant Saddi Washington and strength coach Jon Sanderson are here with him. They will both remain on staff. Howard has a couple holes to fill that have yet to be announced. Athletic director Warde Manuel says Michigan looked at many candidates but chose Howard because his "lifetime success" in basketball will allow him to connect to players and recruits.
