As far as ESPN's draft analytics model is concerned, there was plenty of value to be found in the second round last night. In addition to these, the Mavericks picked up two talented players very late in Ray Spalding (Analytics Rank: 24) and Kostas Antetokounmpo (30).

The drama in the West Region over the past few hours, depicted in one plot:

In a win over Ohio State in the second round on Saturday, Gonzaga showcased the poise we witnessed when Mark Few's team made a run to the national title game last year. With 5:14 to play in Saturday's game, the teams were tied, 67-67. Over the next three-plus minutes, however, the Bulldogs launched an 11-2 run that helped Gonzaga regain the momentum.

Gonzaga is headed to the Sweet Sixteen for the fourth straight season. The Zags overcame a 5-point deficit with 6 minutes left with a 14-2 run to put them up for good. Great comeback attempt by Ohio State which started the game down 15-0 but Gonzaga's late-game composure and ability to attack the basket was too much.

Zach Norvell Jr. has his career high in points (28), 3-pointers (6) and rebounds (10). This is his first career double-double

Gonzaga had a comfortable 11-point lead over Ohio State at halftime, but the Buckeyes gradually chipped away at that deficit by diversifying the scoring load, knocking down big shots and pressuring the Bulldogs on the perimeter. They stole the momentum, but Gonzaga has a bunch of players who fought through adversity to reach last year's title game. This moment won't intimidate them.

Gonzaga's Rui Hachimura outscored Ohio State 12-10 in the paint in the first half (6-for-6). Also the Buckeyes didn't even get their first paint bucket until 7:18 in the first half (started 0-6).

Ohio State's keys to exacting revenge on a Gonzaga team that blew the Buckeyes out in November? OSU G Kam Williams says "don't flinch", embrace the pro-Gonzaga crowd and feed off the underdog status.

Ohio State G Andrew Dakich's father is ESPN broadcaster Dan Dakich and Andrew "sometimes" considers him his secret weapon when it comes to getting scouting reports on opponents but he also has to deal with hearing his dad sometimes calling out his game both on and off TV. What's the biggest criticism he's heard from his dad this season?

Edward Aschoff ESPN Staff Writer

Gonzaga F Jeremy Jones said that when he watches film of Ohio State he sees a much more confident team compared to the one he faced in Portland in November

Edward Aschoff ESPN Staff Writer

Gonzaga G Silas Melson said you can't judge the Zags or Ohio State by the way they played each other earlier in the season. While Melso. thinks both teams are much different now -- and Gonzaga has found its identity-- he said the Zags aren't ready to change much of their game plan from their 86-59 win over the Buckeyes in November. "It's not like they turned into LeBron James."

Edward Aschoff ESPN Staff Writer

Ohio State student assistant coach Greg Oden isn't ready to find any sort of comparisons between this team and his own Buckeyes team that appeared in the 2007 national championship but he loved the resiliency from the Buckeyes today and his advice is for this group to have fun and enjoy the moment.
