Betting Saturday's Elite 8 games

The Final Four is almost upon us, as we have the regional finals taking place this Saturday and Sunday.

I went 1-1 against the spread with my plays Thursday night, as I had Arizona plus-3.5 and they battled back to tie Ohio State before losing on LaQuinton Ross's late 3-pointer, 73-70, but still covered the spread. I then lost on La Salle against Wichita State as the Shockers got up early and La Salle never really got back in the game.

(Note: I "lost" my other two ATS picks on Indiana and Miami, but I've said over and over that I'm a 'dog-or-pass bettor, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that I didn't lay points with either. I wish I had landed on the underdog Syracuse or Marquette teams, but I've found it's best for me to pass when I don't have a strong opinion on a game. Kudos to those who landed on those two 'dogs. I'm jealous.)

But let's move on to the regional finals. During the tournament, I've been marking best bets with an asterisk, but in Saturday's matchups I believe there's enough value on both underdogs to make them both best bets.

No. 3 Marquette Golden Eagles versus No. 4 Syracuse Orange
Vegas consensus line: Syracuse minus-3.5
