Bracket Projection: Georgetown

The Georgetown Hoyas overcame the midseason loss of a key player to win a share of the Big East regular-season crown. Can a do-it-all future pro help the Hoyas vanquish ghosts of past early NCAA tournament exits and lead them to Atlanta?

ESPN Insider has your answers, as Joe Lunardi has enlisted a team of Bracketologists to compile advanced metrics, key scouting intel and best- and worst-case tournament scenarios for all 68 teams, in order to help you make smart picks in your bracket. Plus, as Lunardi fills out his bracket, he'll give you his prediction on how each team will fare.

Lunardi's Logic

The South, not the Midwest, is actually the most loaded region according to true seed numbers. Credit Georgetown for that as the Hoyas came up No. 7 overall despite falling in the Big East semifinals. With Otto Porter, they are a popular pick to win the South Region and reach Atlanta. My fear is that the Hoyas at one point have to open it up, and I see that in a Sweet 16 loss to Florida.

Best wins: Louisville, Marquette, at Syracuse, UCLA

Worst losses: at South Florida, at Villanova, Pittsburgh
