There have been 78 All-Star Games since 1933, with a one-year interruption in 1945 (thanks to wartime travel restrictions). Two All-Star Games were held each season from 1959 through '62.
All those games make for many innings, hundreds of great players and moments, and plenty of drama. So the following list of great All-Star Games could have been a half-dozen or so longer. But here's our list in chronological order.
1933 (July 6) -- Comiskey Park, Chicago
American League 4, National League 2
Starters: Lefty Gomez (AL); Bill Hallahan (NL)
