Top 10 prospects who missed top 100

The fact that I rank the top 100 prospects in the minors is more a function of the number of fingers we have than an indication that there are exactly 100 prospects in the minors right now. The process includes identifying 10-15 prospects in each organization -- sometimes more -- and culling 130 or so of the top names, from which I draw the 100 for the final ranking.

Several players earned serious consideration but didn't make the cut for one reason or another; here are the next 10 guys, with brief notes on why they weren't in the top 100 and a thought or two on their futures:
