Buyer's guide: Catchers

I only had two full-time catching options on my ranking of the top 50 free agents this offseason, and Russell Martin is on the cusp of full-time status, with only A.J. Pierzynski, who is about to turn 36 and coming off a fluky power spike, above him. It's a terribly thin market that will probably leave several teams calling out-of-work NHL goalies to see if they might be available to spend 30-40 games behind the plate next season. Here are some part-time options in free agency I'd look, at as well as four young catchers who might be dealt this winter.
