The troubles endured by Roy Oswalt at the beginning of Game 2 against the Reds on Friday help illustrate why it is folly to stop looking at a matchup simply because one team (the Phillies) has three amazing starting pitchers. Roy Halladay did his best to live up to that assumption, but the Reds wasted nearly no time in getting to Oswalt, as Brandon Phillips led off the game with a home run. The Reds would go on to build a 4-0 lead before things started to turn Philadelphia's way. And from then on, the game's most important plays all occurred with the Phillies batting.
