Who will be MLB's best team post-deadline?

The Dodgers have been on a roll, and even if the Astros make a big splash, our experts tend to think L.A.'s success will continue.

Dodgers' dominance in perspective

With Wednesday's win, the Dodgers are now 71-31. It's the first time since 1974 that they've been 40 games over .500, and it's the earliest date in a season they've reached the mark in franchise history. Their .483 win percentage (29-31) when trailing is better than 13 teams have overall this season. (ESPN Stats & Info)

Olney: Dodgers should pay the price for Yu Darvish

Just making the postseason doesn't really move the needle for the Dodgers. By paying the high asking price for Darvish, L.A. could build a needed safety net for the rotation.

ESPN Stats and Information
