He said the trade market was still evolving. When asked if he expected movement before spring training, he said, "For sure."

Dodgers players at the team's annual FanFest said they had no interest in being deemed champions in 2017 and 2018 after the Astros were found guilty of stealing signs and amid a current investigation against the Red Sox.

Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman pointed to the importance of moving forward and said the Astros' punishments should be enough of a deterrent for other teams not to follow. He was asked whether any Astros have personally apologized to him, and also whether they have shown enough public remorse. "They have not," Friedman said, "and in my personal opinion they have not."

Rob Manfred's 9-page memo detailing the Astros' sign-stealing system and subsequent punishments stated the team did indeed use both systems — the replay room to give catcher signs to a baserunners, the center-field camera that led to trash-can banging — during the postseason, when the Astros went 8-1 at Minute Maid Park and defeated the Dodgers in seven games in the World Series.
