Sergio Romo might be on the rival Dodgers now, but he got a huge ovation from Giants fans Monday. Romo, in his first game ever at AT&T Park as a visitor, tipped his cap to the crowd, pounded his heart and pointed toward the Giants dugout. The club played a video tribute to the reliever, complete with his former entrance music.

Dodgers RHP Sergio Romo is back in San Francisco and drawing a big crowd already. "I wouldn't be surprised if I got a quick reminder of where I am now," he said about Giants fans.

Dodgers LHP Rich Hill threw a 30-pitch bullpen session in San Francisco, all with Band-Aid on the left middle finger that has been plagued by a blister. Hill says the next step in two days is to throw at least some pitches without the Band-Aid in another 30-pitch bullpen.

Dodgers CF Joc Pederson left Sunday's game with right groin tightness, but the injury is not expected to be serious. Pederson hurt himself running the bases. Manager Dave Roberts still suggested that the Dodgers could call up an outfielder for their upcoming series at San Francisco.

Brandon McCarthy pitched seven solid innings and the Dodgers used a fifth-inning uprising to score six times and avoid a sweep in Arizona. The Dodgers got out of town with a 6-2 victory after getting outscored 24-10 in the first two games of the series. Adrian Gonzalez had two doubles and two RBIs, while Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run home run.

It was another solid outing for Dodgers RHP Brandon McCarthy, who gave up two runs over seven innings to a Diamondbacks offense that had been red hot. The club's No. 4 starter when the season started, McCarthy has been the best Dodgers pitcher not named Clayton Kershaw. McCarthy and Kershaw are the only Dodgers to have pitched into the seventh inning this year.

It is starting to look more likely that LHP Julio Urias will pitch for the Dodgers this week at San Francisco. Manager Dave Roberts would not confirm such a scenario, but if he moves Kenta Maeda's next start to Friday, somebody will have to pick up a start. Urias is lined up to pitch on Wednesday, although the Dodgers could use him Wednesday or Thursday against the Giants.

Dodgers RHP Kenta Maeda, currently scheduled to pitch Thursday at San Francisco, could have that outing delayed until Friday, manager Dave Roberts said. That would have the struggling pitcher lined up for the opener of a home series against the Phillies.

The return of OF Franklin Gutierrez (hamstring) has been delayed after he was hit by a pitch in a rehab game at expended spring training. Gutierrez is still expected to play in minor league rehab games before he is activated later this week.
