Big Board: Noel finishes No. 1

The scouting process is over. Games have been reviewed, film has been watched and re-watched. Advanced metrics have been applied. Background checks have been completed. Physicals are finished.

How did the draft class of 2013 grade out? After talking to scouts and GMs from nearly all 30 teams and, at the end, putting my thumb on the scale a bit, here's our final Big Board.

Also, be sure to check out our updated Top 100 and our Mock Draft 7.2 and second round.

A big thanks goes out to our friends in ESPN's Stats & Information for their help providing the "quick fact" on each player in the Top 30.

Nerlens Noel

SCHOOL: Kentucky
AGE: 19
HT/WT: 7-0, 219

10.5 PPG
9.5 RPG
4.4 BPG

Draft range: 1 to 2 | Teams interested: Cavs, Magic, Bobcats, Suns

Noel began the season No. 1 on our Big Board and ends it here as well. The questions -- a thin frame, a rehabbed ACL and raw offensive game-- are far outweighed by the strengths -- elite athletic ability and length, superb defensive skills and instincts, and a supercharged motor. Noel might not be the best player in the draft, but I think he's the best talent.

Quick fact: The Kentucky Wildcats allowed 18.2 fewer points per 100 possessions in the games in which Noel played (excluding the game against Florida when he was injured).
