Pistons can dominate on both sides of the ball

The standard that has been set in Detroit by team owner Bill Davidson and basketball boss Joe Dumars is simple: Win championships. Nothing else matters.

Rick Carlisle turned around the Pistons by averaging 50 wins over two years, and was fired. Larry Brown won an NBA championship, and went to the NBA Finals the next year, and the Pistons' brain trust thought they needed a change.
