Inside NBA intel: Latest on roster moves, rookie extensions

Monday is more than just the deadline for each team to reduce its roster to 15 players.

The day before the regular season starts is also the deadline to extend -- or not extend -- first-round draft picks in the last year of their rookie contracts.

By 6 p.m. ET on Monday, we will know if, for instance, Jaylen Brown and Buddy Hield will be under long-term contract.

In all, 16 such players are eligible to extend their current contracts.
