Keys in Game 2
Phoenix: Normally, Phoenix sets the game's tone and tempo early. But not in Game 2. The Suns came out somewhat lackadaisical, with 36 percent shooting, while allowing Dallas to shoot a blistering 16-for-25 (64 percent). But give Dallas most of the credit – its intensity and defense was much different than in Game 1. Quentin Richardson had a decent look at a game-winning 3-point shot, but Dirk Nowitzki rotated over from the weak side just in time to bother Q with his outstretched arms. The league's shortest bench just got a little shorter, as Joe Johnson's injury on a dangerous fall after a hard foul puts more pressure on the second unit to produce. In Game 2, the Suns' bench provided only 10 points.
