The 76ers have lost 24 straight games. Twenty-four. If that's not tanking, I don't know what is. It's become more than plausible, given how badly they've played, that they won't win another game this season.
The challenge for the Sixers is that they aren't the only team intent on dumping their last few games. The Bucks have lost their past seven and still hold a two-game lead over the Sixers for the 25 percent chance of winning the lottery -- a lottery, I might add, that looks weaker after the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. Both Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker were horrible in losses, and Joel Embiid never got on the floor due to a back injury. If those are the three guys who are supposed to turn around franchises, owners may be asking their general managers right now: We lost all of these games for this?
