INSIDER 2011-12 NBA PREVIEW:
After much delay, the 2011-12 NBA season is upon us. The rosters are in place. The coaches are prepared. And the fans are itching to see pro basketball again.
But there's plenty of uncertainty heading into the season. Questions abound, especially in the face of a condensed schedule.
With that in mind, here are 10 defining questions heading into the season.
1. Will the Los Angeles Clippers trade more assets for a starting shooting guard?
The Clippers rocked the NBA's landscape when they acquired the league's best point guard, Chris Paul, from the New Orleans Hornets for a solid rebuilding package. But now they have one of those "good problems" on their hands: They have too many starting point guards. Now that the Clips have Paul, Chauncey Billups and Mo Williams, they could look to move promising point guard Eric Bledsoe for a sweet-shooting 2.
The question then becomes: Who's a good fit? Don't sleep on the Orlando Magic. Sharpshooter J.J. Redick is fighting for minutes playing behind Jason Richardson, but if the Magic end up dealing Dwight Howard, they could opt for an infusion of youth and energy. Bledsoe fits the bill. For now, Billups will be sufficient, but the Clippers could capitalize on their glut at point guard and really cement their status as a contender by finding a floor spacer to relieve Billups from his unnatural position.
2. Can the Boston Celtics keep it together?
