Momentum, momentum, momentum.
After winning consecutive games at TD Garden to tie up the series at two games apiece, momentum appears to belong to the Boston Celtics. Rajon Rondo's determination looks unstoppable, Kevin Garnett's defense seems impenetrable and Doc Rivers' coaching appears unflappable.
History says that the Celtics are destined to win Game 5 in Miami (and Garnett's performance this postseason provides a good reason for optimism -- more on that later).
But history also tells us that the C's are doomed against the Heat on Tuesday.
What to believe? That's the tricky thing about past performance. There are always two sides to the same story.
First, the good news for Boston fans. Working in the Celtics' favor is this fact: In Boston's Big Three era, the Celtics have gone 8-0 in Game 5s when the series is tied at 2-2. Time for Rivers to guarantee a victory?
