Derrick Rose still shaking off rust

Officially, Derrick Rose returned to the court last Tuesday. He missed the 2012-13 season with a ruptured ACL. A week into his comeback, however, this season's Rose hardly resembles the Rose who was the NBA MVP in 2010-11.

Despite hitting the deciding shot last Thursday against the New York Knicks -- Chicago's lone victory thus far, Rose has been ineffective through three games. How ineffective? Rose's 1.6 PER is worst in the league among players who have seen at least 100 minutes of action. And so far he's rated 0.5 wins worse than replacement level, putting him ahead of only Washington's Bradley Beal.

What has gone wrong for Rose in the early going, and how quickly might he return to form? Let's take a look.
