Kyrie Irving should study ...

Teachers all have their unique style when trying to educate their students. For 25 years now I've resorted to using a modeling approach with pro athletes, showing them how a certain player plays to get the student to see what the finished product looks like. Then we begin the arduous task of developing the skills/game that we studied. It's a formula that works in all aspects of life, including the NBA.

The members of this year's rookie class would do well to pick out a part of their game that they'd like to improve, then study a player who has mastered that aspect of the game. Here is a cheat sheet that can help them get started. (Remember, this is not a comparison. We're not saying the rookies are like the veterans; we're saying they should aspire to be.)
