The two-year $6M Khem Birch contract keeps Orlando under the luxury tax threshold. The Magic now project to be roughly $675K under the tax and $4.5M below the luxury tax apron. The roster is now at 14 players.

Free agent F Khem Birch has agreed to a two-year, $6M deal to return to Orlando, agents Mike George and Jeff Schwartz tell ESPN.

Orlando has announced that they are waiving the $16.7M expiring contract of Timofey Mozgov. Before the waiver, the Magic were $3M over the luxury tax and a projected $890K below the tax apron. If Orlando elects to stretch Mozgov over three seasons ($5.6M cap hit each year), the team would now be $8.2M under the tax and $12M under the apron. Stretching Mozgov now gives the team the financial flexibility to sign restricted free agent Khem Birch.

Free agent guard Michael Carter-Williams has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Orlando Magic, league source tells ESPN.
