Hollinger's Team Forecast: Atlanta Hawks

Call it a case of good news, bad news.

The good news: Atlanta doubled its win total.

The bad news: It still had the second-worst record in the East. The Hawks started the year 2-14 and never recovered, limping home with a 26-56 mark and a tie for last with expansion Charlotte in the Southeast Division.

The Hawks were the league's third most-improved team, adding 13 wins from the year before, but when you go 13-69 it's taken for granted that the team will improve. The questions are the quality of the improvement and how durable it appears for future seasons.
