Aside from the draft day trade by GM Kevin Pritchard, Portland's offseason was extremely quiet. In fact, most of the focus was on current Blazers and their injuries. Oden is back on the court and slated to take over as the starting center, a development which dwarfs anything the Blazers possibly could have done in trades or free agency.
On the other hand, Roy had offseason knee surgery -- continuing a pattern of knee problems for him -- and may need a few weeks to get his sea legs once the season starts. Channing Frye also had surgery, this for an ankle problem, and is likely to be out for the first few weeks of the campaign.
