Pretty much everything Tyler McDermott (Wellington, Fla.-Palm Beach Central) has done in his football career has been with his father Randy's help in some capacity.
McDermott has been playing center since he was 5 years old. While growing up, he played against older kids, because players in his league were grouped by weight -- McDermott was big for his age -- and not how old he was. And while he was improving by playing against older competition, his father started filming his games at age 10 so he could get even better.
"My dad would sit me down after every game and replay the tape and show me what I did wrong and how to fix it," McDermott remembers.
