NCAA's draft rule is not working

To throw a bone to youngsters with an unreasonable yearning to bolt early to the NBA, the NCAA promulgated a rule a few years ago that an underclassman may submit his name for the NBA draft, and if he withdraws his name at least a week before the draft -- or goes undrafted -- he still may come back and be eligible to play again in college.

There are more than a few coaches who believe this rule is a good thing because they think it allowed kids to gain more information in making a decision -- and allowed a kid who screwed up to come back.
