The Bubble Insider takes you deeper into the key teams on the NCAA tournament bubble and the issues they'll face in the coming week.

At first glance, it feels as though this year's NCAA tournament bubble was belched forth by the La Brea Tar Pits. With just two weeks until the start of the major conference tournaments, the picture remains as murky as ever; as many as 21 teams are vying for what appear to be just seven remaining at-large bids. Allow us to don some hazmat suits and try to scrub this bubble down.

Currently those last seven bids are held by the Saint Mary's Gaels, Dayton Flyers, Rhode Island Rams, UAB Blazers, Old Dominion Monarchs, Marquette Golden Eagles and Florida Gators, according to bracketologist Joe Lunardi. But those five squads shouldn't feel too secure. Nor should the Illinois Fighting Illini, who sit a little further inside the bracket -- for now.
