Saint Mary's stays atop power rankings

Because nearly every non-power-six conference (the West Coast being the exception) has more than six conference games in the win-loss ledger, we can take a deeper look at the numbers that define college basketball's "other conferences." There is already some separation atop our rankings. Gone from the efficiency margin rankings are Wright State, James Madison and Hofstra. For the Raiders, a slight decline in offensive efficiency contributed in a loss to Horizon League leader Cleveland State. The Dukes have gone 1-3 over the past two weeks and Hofstra suddenly has a problem on the defensive side of the rock. The Pride's OPPP increased by 0.04, and their inability to get stops was evident against JMU; though Hofstra won the game, JMU easily scored on almost every possession in the second half.
