Too many UConn weapons for Hoyas

When previewing any Connecticut Huskies game this season, the focus is always Kemba Walker. And the question is always, "How will [UConn's opponent] stop Walker?"

As if it wasn't obvious before, as Walker goes, so go the Huskies. UConn has lost three of the past five games, and in those three losses Walker shot 14-for-53 from the floor and took just 14 foul shots.

As coach John Thompson III tries to prepare his Georgetown Hoyas for Wednesday night's showdown with UConn -- and extend his club's eight-game winning streak -- you can be sure that he's thinking long and hard about how to extend Walker's recent slump. But he shouldn't overlook another emerging option for coach Jim Calhoun's crew.
