PLAYER: Jon Leuer
Bo Ryan's scheme rises or falls on its ability to create mismatches. The Badgers work the ball around in triangles, behind a heavy layer of screens, until they find a place to puncture a hole in the D. Their constantly shape-shifting maze is hard enough on the chasers, so it's almost unfair that Wisconsin peoples its scheme with guards who can post up and big men who can shoot. "The system develops the total player," says associate head coach Greg Gard. "By the time you are done here, there should be no holes left in your game."
