The Harvard basketball program is what it is. Over the last decade, only Penn and Princeton have won more Ivy League games than Frank Sullivan's Crimson. However, that consistent play shouldn't be confused with competing for the league crown.

Harvard has finished 7-7 in Ancient Eight play five times over the last seven years and hasn't even sniffed the top of the standings since tying for second at 10-4 in 1996-97. Even then, Penn went undefeated.

Last season, coming off a miserable 4-22 campaign, Sullivan brought his troops to the brink of a second-place Ivy finish. And even though a pair of defeats in the season's final weekend bumped the Crimson into a third-place tie, there were few complaints in Cambridge.
