A conversation with Jim Harbaugh

August, 5, 2009

Jim Harbaugh has never been shy. But he's been able to back up some of his big talk since taking over a beaten-down Stanford program and leading the Cardinal to a huge upset win at USC two seasons ago; now he has the school on the brink of its first bowl trip in almost a decade.

I chatted with him the other day about a variety of topics that included scheduling, his new QB Andrew Luck and whether the BCS system has "rigged" things so programs and some conferences are now cheating the game.

To read Bruce's discussion with Harbaugh -- and to find out new motivation for Penn State's Evan Royster and what, if anything, to expect from Tennessee (and whether Lane Kiffin assistants could get fired quickly) -- you must be an ESPN Insider. Insider
