Matt Costello down to three Ivy schools

December, 14, 2010
Although he's not the most sought-after recruit in Massachusetts, few players in the state had a more productive senior season than wide receiver Matt Costello (Everett, Mass./Everett).

He capped his high school career by catching 11 passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns in Everett's 31-7 triumph over St. John's Prep in the Division I Super Bowl. Costello made 76 receptions for 1,301 yards and 23 touchdowns last season, and was one of the main reasons Everett quarterback Jonathan DiBiaso set a state record with 43 touchdown passes.

Costello has been just as productive in the classroom (3.98 GPA), and will likely play college football in the Ivy League next season. Costello said he's whittled his choices to Harvard, Penn and Princeton.
