Three-star TE McShea chooses Temple

June, 30, 2011
Sean McGowan's ties to New England paid off last weekend when three-star tight end Jameson McShea (Cotuit, Mass./B.C. High) committed to Temple.

McGowan, who left his job as defensive coordinator at the University of New Hampshire to accept a position on Steve Addazio's Temple staff following the 2011 season, coached McShea during the 7-on-7 portion of Boston College's camp last summer and was recruiting McShea while he was still coaching at New Hampshire.

"The primary reason I got recruited by Temple was Sean, but the school speaks for itself," McShea said. "When he went to Temple no one was really recruiting the New England/Northeast area. I kept in touch with him.
