BC, UConn, Rutgers vie for LB Strizak

July, 5, 2011
Linebacker Michael Strizak (Fair Lawn, N.J./Don Bosco) has trimmed his list of schools to Boston College, Connecticut and Rutgers.

Strizak said the schools are in no particular order, and that his interest in Rutgers could increase if some of his high school teammates commit to play there. ESPNU 150 defensive tackle Darius Hamilton, four-star defensive back Elijah Shumate and three-star wide receiver Leonte Carroo are among the Don Bosco players who have offers from Rutgers.

"I do want to wait for the commitments of a few of my teammates," he said. "If some of my teammates committed [to Rutgers] it could turn into a New Jersey pride type of thing."
