RB Rushel Shell getting offers from all over

November, 4, 2010
Watch List running back Rushel Shell (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) has put up some spectacular numbers since becoming a starter in Week 6 of his freshman season.

Going into his junior season, Shell had amassed 4,256 yards rushing and through nine games this season Shell has rushed for 2,102 yards, 22 touchdowns on the ground and 25 touchdowns total. He has become the first player in WPIAL history to go over 2,000 yards in back-to-back seasons and has 6,358 career yards including three games of over 300 yards this season.

"Rushel has a unique blend of power and speed," Hopewell coach Dave Vestal said. "He can get to the edge and can make the move to make you miss. Once he gets a crease he can take it all the way. He is a powerful back who also blocks well."
