I've gotten more than a few questions about Auburn's recruiting this year and despite the Tigers' great season they have failed to reel in a recruit that makes a big splash nationally.

The class that Auburn currently has is pretty good and is expected to get better in the final two and a half months. But an area where it looks like the Tigers failed could turn out to be their most successful.

There's little secret that running backs Demetrius Hart (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips) and Mike Blakely (Bradenton, Fla./Manatee) were the top two players at the position on Auburn's board. Hart ended up committing to Michigan and Blakely chose Florida after Auburn had an early edge in his recruitment.
