Five things I learned this weekend:

Quarterback competition falls short
There were high hopes for the anticipated matchup between Countryside (Clearwater, Fla.) and East Lake (Tarpon Springs, Fla.) because it featured Miami commit Gray Crow and Class of 2013 rising prospect Pete DiNovo at quarterback. Unfortunately neither signal caller stood out as DiNovo went 11-for-22 for 189 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions and Crow went 7-of-24 for 58 yards and two interceptions.

"It definitely isn't a game I'm going to be happy to look at on film," Crow said. "But I really thank my teammates for coming through for me and getting this win."
