Alabama just picked up its first commitment for the 2012 class and it's a big one. Eddie Williams, a junior from Arnold High School in Panama City, Fla., committed Tuesday to the Crimson Tide over Florida State, Florida and Notre Dame. "Eddie called me up last night and said he was ready to commit to Alabama," Arnold coach James Hale said. "It's not surprising because Eddie told me all summer long he wanted to commit early. He wants to be a part of Alabama." The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder is a super athlete and a beast on the football field. Last season, he played a variety of positions from quarterback to free safety to wide receiver. He also returned kicks. In one game as a sophomore he scored seven touchdowns. Williams reminds Hale of one of the Sunshine State's great high school, college and NFL stars.
