Alabama leading for Beniquez Brown

August, 23, 2011
Last season as a junior ESPNU 150 ATH Beniquez Brown (Florence, Ala./Florence) rushed for over 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns on only 118 carries. Playing safety he recorded 134 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, four forced fumbles and two interceptions playing linebacker. This season, which kicks off this weekend for Florence High School against Vestavia Hills, he will once again start at running back and play safety.

"As far as college goes I don't know what position I will play," Brown said. "Playing opportunity will be a big thing for me and I don't really care what side of the ball."

This past summer, Brown took the opportunity to unofficially visit Mississippi State, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. The Crimson Tide hold a slight lead over the Gators and Mississippi State Bulldogs.
