Iowa perfect for Jordan Walsh

August, 17, 2010
Offensive guard Jordan Walsh (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) is one of the top interior linemen in the Midwest and has been compared to former Hilltoppers star and current Notre Dame offensive guard Chris Watt. Walsh earned several scholarship offers in the past months and ended his recruitment before the start of his senior season.

"I chose Iowa." Walsh said. "What I liked the most about Iowa was the fact that I felt extremely comfortable with the coaches and the comfort level I felt when I was on campus. Iowa does a great job at developing offensive linemen and getting them ready for the NFL. Lastly, I felt that Iowa had the academic support in place to help me succeed and be successful in the classroom."

Daniel still hoping to hear from SEC
The last time we checked in with hard-hitting linebacker Armonze Daniel (Avon, Ind./Avon) he had several scholarship offers. But the 6-4, 225-pounder wants to play in the SEC and while he's setting up visits and moving on in the recruiting process, he's still hoping to hear from some of the schools in what is arguably the nation's best conference.
