Oklahoma Offense vs. West Virginia Defense
Don't be surprised if Oklahoma comes out with guns blazing early on in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. Although coach Bob Stoops obviously wants to maintain offensive balance between run and pass, he also knows the opponent is overmatched physically and fragile mentally. West Virginia gives up a lot of size up front on this side of the ball, so it will need to take some chances with a safety cheating up near the line to support the run. Instead of playing into WVU's hands, Stoops will try to exploit the vulnerable Mountaineer secondary as soon as possible. If OU connects on a couple of big passing plays early, it could shatter what is left of West Virginia's confidence. Additionally, the Mountaineers' run-heavy offense does not translate well in come-from-behind situations and the Sooners have the dominant rushing attack to sit on a second-half lead.
