USC Offense vs. Ohio State Defense

• QB Matt Barkley appears more comfortable working outside the pocket than inside it. That is common for young quarterbacks because passing windows become bigger outside the pocket, and reads are limited to just that half of the field. The good news for USC is that its passing attack in recent years has prominently featured bootlegs and waggles, so it's not as if first-year offensive coordinator John Morton is being asked to tweak the scheme to match Barkley's strengths and mask his weaknesses.
