Connecticut at South Florida

Connecticut offense vs. South Florida defense
• The priority for the Bulls' defense must be slowing the Huskies on the ground. Offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead's game plans go directly through RB Jordan Todman and a physical offensive line. Todman has been a workhorse and his combination of vision, lateral agility and short-area burst has allowed him to average more than 148 yards per game. South Florida has been stingy against the run this season but will be tested in this game. Connecticut's offensive line has done a great job of firing off the ball and sustaining blocks, but Bulls DT Terrell McClain is underrated on the interior and should cause enough problems to allow USF's active linebackers room to maneuver. However, those linebackers have had issues with run fits and if they continue to take poor angles to the point it could mean problems because Todman has excelled at exploiting cut back lanes created by overaggressive linebackers.
